However I am not familiar with how to create a web service to do this, and the others interested have not gotten back to me. This would be a nice addition to the site, but we need to talk things out first. Please get in contact with me so we can go over things. Also, I am in the process of actually re-working the download section. There are so many dvdid files that I am playing with the idea of actually storing the dvdid information in a database and having the site create the dvdid.xml file on the fly when someone clicks download. There is still a lot to think about, that is just one idea. If anyone is open to helping out, I can't figure out how to pull dvd cover information from AMG or IMDB based on the movie title. Help/ideas would be appreciated. Useful Links: [submit a dvdid] [my dvd settings] [search] [faq] [contact us]

We will also have an open beta to test things out when we are ready. Useful Links: [submit a dvdid] [my dvd settings] [search] [faq] [contact us]

I have been compiling imdb data into a web based app for my personal use, however some sort of public api such as a web service to your data would be a great addition and could generate more traffic and donations to your cause. I do not have the technical knowledge (mostly due to lack of free time) to create an API on my own. I am also concerned that an API service would kill this sites traffic thus cutting donations and in turn the site would no longer be self-sustained. As of now, I don't make any money and no money comes out of my pocket for the service provided here. The other option would be to allow API access based on a very small subscription fee or a points system. Again, my time is limited and I really haven't worked out many details from this standpoint, but It's entirely possible. I just dont know if members would be willing to pay a small fee in order to automate the downloading of DVDid information. Regardless of the outcome, we still plan to keep the manual process free of charge. Useful Links: [submit a dvdid] [my dvd settings] [search] [faq] [contact us]

In the future, please make your DVD request via the Forum.
For "I Love You, Man" you will need to follow place the DVDXML id locally to your system and modify your id and cover art.
This is due to the information not being available in Microsoft's MCE database NOT DVDXML.com.
See http://www.dvdxml.com/p/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?1725 for the finer details.
