Now there is only RECORDED TV or DVD. In MCE 2005 I had my movies and dvd's grouped in folders (Automotive, Documentaries, Kids etcetera). BTW: compliments for DVDXML: it is great to get the movie info on screen. Thanks! If so, I don't think Vista will display the folders in DVD Library. Vista actually goes out and just finds all the DVD folders, then displays them. It does work a bit different than XP Media Center. You could access your DVD library through My Videos, but then you would lose functionality of displaying DVD information, even if you had a dvdid.xml file in that folder. Hope this helps! -Tim Useful Links: [submit a dvdid] [my dvd settings] [search] [faq] [contact us]

You are right, Vista does not show (sub)folders. All dvd's found in all included folders will be shown! Tim said ... Vista shows, but does not play dvd files on harddisk in the My Videos folder Therefore I thought using the TYPE to sort the dvd's found on my harddisks. Vista MCE has predefined filters already. Useful Links: [submit a dvdid] [my dvd settings] [search] [faq] [contact us]

It won't be easy though if you have a lot of DVDs. -Tim Useful Links: [submit a dvdid] [my dvd settings] [search] [faq] [contact us]

When I sort on Type, all I see in the DVD Gallery is: Recorded TV and DVD. How does Vista determine this? Sorry for the "bad english"...What was meant to be said is that the DVDXML id has be created and maintain locally. Follow the link and also use the FAQ for the solution.

In the future, please make your DVD request via the Forum.
For "I Love You, Man" you will need to follow place the DVDXML id locally to your system and modify your id and cover art.
This is due to the information not being available in Microsoft's MCE database NOT DVDXML.com.
See http://www.dvdxml.com/p/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?1725 for the finer details.
