I like the way the cast information appears as an option and have the ability to get more info. Has anyone played around with using the tags from a DVR-MS file in a DVDInfoCache XML file?

Here is what I found out on both Custom DVDInfoCache files and Custom covers. Someone on here recommended "MyDVDs meta-services tool for MCE" (I'm sorry but I can't find the thread now so I can't give proper credit or point the way to find this tool, but it is on here) anyway if you find the thread and download this tool make sure to run it "as administrator", basically point it to the file where all your DVDs are stored and it will recognize them. Click on the movie you want to add the cover too, and it will open a new window. In that window you can search a couple different data bases for your movie, or if you it finds one automatically, you can change the cover to one of your liking instead, just click the picture to the left and browse for cover, I borrowed some from Wikipedia Online, as they seem to have the best picture quality and details on just about every movie out there. Anyway just save the cover you want in your specific DVD folder next to the XML file MYDvd created for you. Then point the MYDvd tool to that cover using browse and select your custom cover. Save and close, and that's it. As for custom DVDInfoCache files, you can use MYDvd to the do this as well. Just pretend it's a movie out there on one of the data bases available, then select your custom DVD from the MYDvd window, when that window opens, down on the bottom right is a button to customize data, click this, then you can change the title, picture, actors, directors and dates, to match your custom DVD and then close and save and MYDvd will build the file for you. This is the easiest least confusing way I have found, so I hope this helps...

The reason I did not suggest it here is because the program is not yet ready for Vista. I have actually been working closely with the author of the program testing it out. There are plans to combine this program with our database here at DVDxml. :) Useful Links: [submit a dvdid] [my dvd settings] [search] [faq] [contact us]

Sorry for the "bad english"...What was meant to be said is that the DVDXML id has be created and maintain locally. Follow the link and also use the FAQ for the solution.

In the future, please make your DVD request via the Forum.
For "I Love You, Man" you will need to follow place the DVDXML id locally to your system and modify your id and cover art.
This is due to the information not being available in Microsoft's MCE database NOT DVDXML.com.
See http://www.dvdxml.com/p/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?1725 for the finer details.
