For the past 2 months my Media Center computer can't does not pull the cover art for any of the NEW DVDs (IronMan, Kung Fu Panda, Wanted, Horton Hears a Who, Zohan, Hulk ....) however covers still get download for older movies, such as (Elizabeth: The Golden Age, Lucky Number Slevin, Illusionist, The Prestige) Am I the only one with this probelm? thanks

Microsoft was sneaky and changed the link that Windows uses to download meta data information. You might try and run a Windows Update to grab all the latest updates. Maybe there is an update that points MCE 2005 to the new location. Useful Links: [submit a dvdid] [my dvd settings] [search] [faq] [contact us]

Now it’s pretty much useless, at least for me and MCE 2005. Everything is up to date on my system. The old xml files still work and cover art appears in my DVDs. I can not see any difference in the old (working) and new (broken) files. Could this have something to do with the switch to large cover art spoken about? [ Edited Sat Jan 03 2009, 05:49PM ]

Below is the last email I got from an MCE support engineer " I’ve done some extensive testing on my machine here. Basically with files from DVDxml.com I have tried older movies such as Transformers and Pink Panther XML files and they pull up the cover art no problem. However when I try Wall-E, Step Brothers, Eagle Eye XML files it fails to pull up cover art. The issue seems to be the metaservices server, I am going to ping the people who take care of it and see if they are aware of this issue. I will keep you updated."

The issue has been escalated to Metaservices and is currently being investigated by them. I don’t have an estimated time of when it will be fixed, however if you don’t see any changes within a month please contact me again and I will be happy to find out the status again for you."

Sorry for the "bad english"...What was meant to be said is that the DVDXML id has be created and maintain locally. Follow the link and also use the FAQ for the solution.

In the future, please make your DVD request via the Forum.
For "I Love You, Man" you will need to follow place the DVDXML id locally to your system and modify your id and cover art.
This is due to the information not being available in Microsoft's MCE database NOT DVDXML.com.
See http://www.dvdxml.com/p/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?1725 for the finer details.
